Policies

  • Your driving instructor has the right to withdraw the tuition car on the day of your driving test, if in the instructors opinion you are not deemed to be at the required standard.
  • Right Gear Driving School can not be held responsible for any cancellation’s due to mechanical breakdowns, but will endeavor to find a replacement vehicle as soon as possible.
  • Right Gear Driving School will abide by an equal opportunity policy and will not discriminate against race, colour, creed or gender etc.
  • Right Gear Driving School will provide the pupil with a dual controlled car in a clean, tidy and road worthy condition.
  • Right Gear Driving School instructors will present themselves in professional manner and of smart appearance.
  • Right Gear Driving School has a strict ‘No Smoking’ policy.
  • Right Gear Driving School recommends a continuation of weekly/frequent lessons once your practical test is booked.
  • Unless 48 hours notice is given to any lesson cancellation, the lesson fee will be charges at the current rate.
  • Should you wish to cancel part way through a block booking, the hours you have used will then be charged at full price, plus a £65 administration fee. The outstanding balance will be refund within 48 hours.
  • All driving lesson session should be recorded by both parties. The driving Instructor will wait 15 minutes for you to show, otherwise the lesson will be abandoned and lesson fees will be due for payment.
  • Pupils must be respectful of the tuition car at all times. The instructor will make every effort to avoid any damage to the tuition car during your lesson. However if damage is cause to the tuition car or any car on the road despite the best efforts made, you will be expected to pay half towards any repairs required (up to  the level of excess on the instructors insurance) During your driving test the examiner will not prevent you, ‘the candidate’ from hitting the curb or other similar minor damage to the car.    Therefore, any damage caused by the candidate on test will be charged to you (up to the level of excess on the instructors insurance policy).
  • GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations Any personal information held by Right Gear Driving School will not be used for any other purpose other than for your driving tuition. Any personal data will not be passed or sold to any 3rd party.
